By request - I’m delving a bit deeper into the philosophy and psychology of things. The philosophy and psychology of what? I’m not sure yet. I never know before I start writing, I’m just as in the dark as you. It’s the same for my episodes. They just sort of unfold in front of me. I get to find out what happens in real time.
So, what makes a good story? How does Hollywood do it? There are certain tropes found in most stories and believe it or not, they originate from the Christian Bible (in Western culture, anyway). A good story shows us the struggle between good and evil that can be found in all of us. There were a lot of philosophers to point this out (existentialists, mostly.
